Welcome to the Tidioute Community Charter School Health Office!

Welcome to the TCCS Health Office website! This is the place to find information about School Health Requirements and services provided as well as links to different pages that are helpful in raising happy, healthy children.

Please ensure your family stays healthy by frequently washing your hands, eating a healthy diet, and  getting plenty of exercise, fresh air, and sleep. I would encourage families to visit Penn State's 5210 and Penn State's ProWellness webpage for great information on how to keep your children healthy. Other fun sites for children to visit that contain health related activities and games can be found at www.actionforhealthykids.org/healthy-activities-to-do-at-home/ and https://www.nutrition.gov/topics/audience/children/kids-corner.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month!
Did you know that your Mental Health impacts your Physical Health? This is why taking care of your Mental Wellness is so important! Remember to eat healthy foods, get plenty of exercise and rest, and get some fresh air! Enjoy a favorite activity or try something new like meditation or yoga. And as always, reach out for help when needed! Click here to find out more.

The Smile Program will return on September 15 and 16, 2022. This is a wonderful program I would encourage families to utilize!  Dental exams are required in Kindergarten, 3rd and 7th grade. See below for updated information on School Dental exams.

If your child does not have health insurance coverage, consider getting information about obtaining coverage through CHIP. For more info, go to http://www.chipcoverspakids.com/

State Requirements
The State of Pennsylvania requires that all children attending public schools meet certain standards regarding health and dental exams and immunizations.  I have provided a list here:
